During Bible Hour from 9:30-10:30 we are studying the Olivet Discourse in Matthew 24 –25. If the gospel of Matthew has a theme, it may be what kingdom are you building? The author wants us to be prepared now for the imminence of the eschatological period. In chapter 24, Jesus gives us the information and framework about the end times; chapter 25 is then the exhortation to action from his teaching. As Christians, we need not be people of sight, but of insight. Disciples of Christ should have deep insight based on the word of God and push away the gullibility of this age.
Join us for our Corporate Worship Service as we explore the Gospel of John with Pastor Matt’s sermon series entitled The Word of Grace and Truth: John chapters 1-6. Recently, we have seen how John anchors reality with Jesus as full deity, as co-creator and as light and life. We, like the moon reflecting the sun’s rays, ought to reflect the light of Christ to our culture. We will shine more brightly based on our proximity to the Word of God and to prayer.
